Key Regulatory Impact & Action Points

  • Full waiver or credit of the AED 10,000 late registration fine
  • First Corporate Tax return must be filed within 7 months of year-end
  • Applies to both Mainland LLCs and UAE Free Zone companies
  • 0% Small Business Relief available for revenues under AED 3,000,000

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) and Ministry of Finance have announced a landmark relief initiative for Mainland and Free Zone businesses that incurred an administrative penalty of AED 10,000 for late Corporate Tax registration on EmaraTax.

How to Qualify for the Full Penalty Waiver

To qualify for the waiver or refund of the AED 10,000 penalty, taxable persons must submit their first Corporate Tax return (or Small Business Relief declaration) within 7 months from the end of their first tax period, rather than the standard 9-month window. Brightlink chartered tax advisors in Business Bay are actively assisting UAE companies with immediate EmaraTax registration, Zoho/Xero IFRS bookkeeping, and expedited 7-month tax return filing.
